Summer may be over, but that doesn’t mean that London will become dead. With so much to do in the city, there’s plenty to do, whatever the weather. London is well known for having a range of brilliant events, both indoors and out, making it one of the most visited tourist destinations at any time of the year. It’s no surprise either, being the capital of the UK, London is used to sporadic weather patterns, and adapting to it comes second nature to the British. London Film Festival
Lasting from the 10th to the 21st of October, the London Film Festival brings some of the biggest names in the film industry as well as exciting newcomers, bringing a plethora of new films to the many screens of London. Being screened at iconic cinemas around the city including Rich Mix Shoreditch, the Ritzy in Brixton and the Hackney Picturehouse, the London Film Festival is one of the most well established film festivals in the world and includes q and as, mentorship schemes and workshops for budding filmmakers.
Halloween in London
A halloween in London is a night you’ll truly remember. With a wide range of parties, all night cinema screenings at cinemas like the Prince Charles and haunted house events across the city, you’ll be in for a halloween like no other in London. Whether you’re with friends or spending the half term with kids in the luxury of the Montcalm the Brewery, you’ll find a range of specifically designed events in Shoreditch and beyond.
London Restaurant Festival
The London Restaurant Festival takes place all throughout October and plays host to some of the best restaurants in the city, offering up discounted and one off menus. Whether you’re an avid foodie or just looking for a great value meal, the London Restaurant Festival will take you from the deliciously michelin to sumptuous street food. With a range of classes, workshops and special events, you can expect the London Restaurant Festival to bring a diverse and eclectic range of menus to London. London Oktoberfest at Millwall Park
From the 4th to the 14th of October, you can expect Millwall park near Canary Wharf to play host to a wide range of brewers, club nights and German themed shenanigans, as the German celebration takes hold of the city. With boutique beers on offer, there’s plenty for everyone to enjoy at Oktoberfest.
